Victory at Phillip Island for Move My Wheels, Ojeda & Lucchitti

Jayden Ojeda and Paul Lucchitti have claimed victory in Race 2 of the GT Festival at Phillip Island, holding strong through multiple Safety Car restarts in an entertaining and hard-fought contest.

Behind the wheel of the Move My Wheels by Tigani Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3, Ojeda and Lucchitti delivered a faultless, commanding performance on Sunday at Phillip Island, converting pole position into a hard-earned two-second victory after controlling the race from lights out to the chequered flag and bouncing back from Saturday’s DNF.
Starting from pole, Ojeda set the tone early, building a five-second lead in the opening stint. Despite an early Safety Car interruption, he remained composed and dominant, underlining his status as one of Australia’s premier GT drivers.

A slick pit stop from the Tigani Motorsport crew saw Lucchitti rejoin with a six-second advantage, but a late Safety Car erased the margin and set up a tense final ten-minute shootout.
When it mattered most, though, no one could match the pace of the #66. Lucchitti pulled away with authority, charging to the chequered flag clear of the field and straight into Victory Lane.
GT World Challenge Australia returns in six weeks for round two, held at The Bend Motorsport Park on 8-10 May.
